Edwin was established in Tokyo, Japan 1947. The founder Mr Tsunemi started by importing denim from the USA (no denim was made in Japan at the time) usually dirty and worn out and all needed hand repaired. In 1961 the first pair of Edwin jeans were made in Japan and in 1963 the first pair with the 'rainbow selvedge' was produced.
In the 1970s and 1980s Edwin were the first company to give jeans an aged wash process and created the 'stone wash' that is seen around the world today.
Edwin jeans are a true staff favourite here at atticclothing.com!!
